Description

Responsibilities

  • Participate in structure on-the-job training for machine operations and manufacturing processes.
  • Read and follow work instructions, drawings and specifications and other manufacturing documentation
  • Perform basic machine loading, unloading, cleaning, and material handling.
  • Follow all company safety procedures, quality requirements, and aerospace manufacturing standards.
  • Ask questions and seek guidance when instructions or requirements are unclear.
  • Perform basic machine maintenance and preventative upkeep, reporting equipment concerns as needed.
  • Accurately complete production and quality documentation.
  • Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives by identifying opportunities to improve safety, quality, efficiency, and overall shop organization.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.
  • Demonstrate consistent progress through the training program and work toward qualification as a Machine Operator I.

Learn to monitor machine performance throughout production runs, making routine adjustments to maintain quality, improve efficiency, and resolve minor process or equipment issues.

Learn to perform machine setups, verify tooling, and ensure equipment is operating according to work instructions and production requirements.

Learn to safely operate assigned production machines and equipment.

Qualifications

  • High school diploma or GED required.
  • 0-2 years of manufacturing, machine operations, or production experience preferred.
  • Able to read, understand, and follow written and verbal instructions.
  • Basic math skills and the ability to learn shop math.
  • Strong attention to details and commitment to producing quality parts.
  • Reliable attendance and punctuality.
  • Ability to work effectively as part of a team.
  • Willingness to learn new equipment, processes, and manufacturing techniques.
  • Mechanical aptitude and willingness to learn machine operation, quality standards, and aerospace manufacturing processes.

Hourly rate: $21.24 - 28.00
