Machine Maintenance Technician

Electrical Preferred: Valid electrical certification, or proven hands-on experience troubleshooting low-to-medium voltage systems. Fabricate and repair metal structures, brackets, frames, or equipment guards using MIG, TIG, or Stick welding techniques.

Job Summary
We are seeking a Maintenance Technician to oversee the upkeep, troubleshooting, and repair of our equipment and facilities. The ideal candidate has a strong foundation in general mechanical maintenance, with a specialized background in electrical systems or welding/fabrication considered a major advantage. In this role, you will play a critical part in minimizing downtime and ensuring a safe, efficient operational environment.

Key Responsibilities
General Mechanical & Facility Maintenance
Perform routine inspections and preventive maintenance on machinery, conveyor systems, and facility infrastructure.
Diagnose and repair mechanical breakdowns swiftly to minimize production or operational downtime.
Manage work orders through our digital maintenance tracking system, accurately logging parts used and time spent.
Follow safety protocols strictly, including OSHA guidelines, PPE requirements, and lockout/tagout (LOTO) procedures.
Electrical Responsibilities (Strong Plus)
Troubleshoot electrical components, including motors, relays, switches, circuit breakers, and control panels.
Read and interpret electrical schematics and wiring diagrams to safely isolate and resolve complex faults.
Assist with minor wiring installations and the replacement of faulty electrical hardware up to code.
Welding & Fabrication Responsibilities (Strong Plus)
Fabricate and repair metal structures, brackets, frames, or equipment guards using MIG, TIG, or Stick welding techniques.
Operate shop equipment safely, including torches, grinders, plasma cutters, and drill presses.
Modify or reinforce existing machinery to improve structural integrity and operational safety.

Qualifications & Skills
Experience: 2–5 years of experience in industrial, manufacturing, or commercial facility maintenance.
Technical Skills: Strong mechanical aptitude with a solid understanding of hydraulics, pneumatics, and hand/power tools.
Electrical Preferred: Valid electrical certification, or proven hands-on experience troubleshooting low-to-medium voltage systems.
Welding Preferred: Welding certification (AWS) or strong structural welding and metal fabrication skills.
Physical Demands: Ability to lift up to 50 lbs, climb ladders, and stand or kneel for extended periods.
