Machine Maintenance Technician

We are seeking a skilled and dedicated Machine Maintenance Technician to join our team in Springfield, IL. In this role, you will be responsible for maintaining and repairing a variety of heavy equipment and electrical systems. Responsibilities

• Perform routine maintenance and repairs on heavy equipment and machinery.
• Troubleshoot mechanical and electrical issues to ensure optimal performance.
• Work with 120/208/240/480 voltage systems to maintain electrical integrity.
• Utilize commercial electrical expertise to diagnose and repair electrical systems.
• Conduct electrical troubleshooting and repair tasks as needed.
• Program and troubleshoot Programmable Logic Controllers (PLC) for automated systems.
• Maintain and repair conveyor systems to ensure smooth operations.
• Document maintenance activities and report on equipment status.
• Collaborate with team members to improve maintenance processes and efficiency.

Qualifications

• Proven experience in heavy equipment repair and maintenance.
• Strong mechanical troubleshooting skills with a focus on efficiency.
• Knowledge of 120/208/240/480 voltage systems and commercial electrical practices.
• Experience in electrical troubleshooting and repair.
• Familiarity with Programmable Logic Controllers (PLC) and their applications.
• Hands-on experience with conveyor systems and related machinery.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Strong communication skills and attention to detail.
• High school diploma or equivalent; technical certification preferred.
