    Job Title: Machine Maintenance Technician

    Location: Erie, PA, 16501

    Reports To: Supervisor

    General Description

    Responsible for carrying out work assignments as directed and instructed. Must be able to perform electrical wiring, mechanical repairs, PLC programming; troubleshoot controls, motors, and drives; repair CNC equipment, mills, drills, and lathes. Must have the ability to repair and rebuild pumps and cylinders; troubleshoot and repair electrical and mechanical equipment; follow prints, drawings, wiring diagrams, and schematics; and work with 480, 240, and 120 volts. Ability to work at heights and climb ladders is required.

    Prerequisites

    • High school diploma or GED required.
    • Completed technical schooling in electrical or electronics.
    • Minimum two years' experience in an industrial machining environment.

    Specific Duties

    1. Electrical & Mechanical Repairs
      • Perform electrical wiring for machines and equipment.
      • Troubleshoot and repair controls, motors, and drives.
      • Repair and maintain CNC equipment, mills, drills, and lathes.
      • Diagnose and repair electrical and mechanical issues in industrial equipment.
    2. PLC Programming & Troubleshooting
      • Program and troubleshoot Programmable Logic Controllers (PLCs).
      • Diagnose and repair control systems.
    3. Pump & Cylinder Maintenance
      • Repair and rebuild hydraulic and pneumatic pumps and cylinders.
    4. Equipment Troubleshooting & Diagnostics
      • Analyze machine malfunctions and determine necessary repairs.
      • Read and interpret prints, drawings, wiring diagrams, and schematics to assist in troubleshooting.
    5. Electrical Work & Safety
      • Work safely with 480V, 240V, and 120V electrical systems.
      • Ensure all repairs comply with electrical safety standards.
    6. Preventative Maintenance
      • Perform routine maintenance on machines to prevent breakdowns.
      • Inspect and replace worn parts to extend equipment life.
    7. Workplace Safety & Compliance
      • Adhere to all company and OSHA safety protocols.
      • Utilize proper lockout/tagout procedures when servicing equipment.
    8. Working at Heights
      • Perform maintenance tasks at elevated heights, including climbing ladders.
    9. Work Assignment Execution
      • Complete assigned maintenance tasks as directed by the supervisor.
      • Ensure all work is completed in a timely and efficient manner.
