Description
General laboring type work, cleaning and prepping castings with some minor manual machining.
Duties
- Detects and reports defective materials or questionable conditions to management or designee.
- Remove work pieces from machines and check to ensure that they conform to specifications, using measuring instruments such as microscopes, gauges, calipers and micrometers.
- Maintains the work area and equipment in a clean, orderly condition.
- Performs other related duties as assigned.
Skills/Qualifications
- Mechanical aptitude
- Familiarity using micrometers and calipers
- Willing to learn to become proficient in operating applicable equipment
- Quality and detail oriented
- Excellent mathematical skills
