Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or Mechanical Engineering Technology or equivalent experience
Proficiency with SolidWorks including part modeling, assemblies, configurations, and production drawings
Experience designing custom machinery, automation equipment, or industrial tooling
Familiarity with reverse engineering existing equipment and creating manufacturing drawings
Proficiency with DraftSight or AutoCAD for technical drafting
Working knowledge of machining, fabrication, welding, and mechanical assembly processes
Strong mechanical aptitude with troubleshooting and resolving design issues
Experience modernizing legacy designs and engineering documentation repeatedly preferred
Responsibilities
Create, modify, and maintain detailed 3D models and manufacturing drawings using SolidWorks
Convert legacy 2D drawings into detailed 3D SolidWorks models and production documentation
Design and modify tooling, fixtures, and machine components following established standards
Support the design and improvement of custom industrial machinery and automation equipment
Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams throughout the design, build, and testing phases
