Machine Builder – Automation Equipment

Location: Simpsonville, SC
Duration: Initial 10-Week Project (Potential for 6+ Months)
Schedule: Monday – Friday | 40 Hours Per Week
Overtime: May be Required

Job Overview

We are seeking 2 experienced Machine Builders to support the assembly and build of automated manufacturing and assembly equipment in Simpsonville, SC. This position requires hands-on experience with both mechanical assembly and electrical integration of automation systems.

The initial assignment is expected to last approximately 10 weeks, with the potential to continue on additional projects for 6 months or longer based on performance and project demands.

Responsibilities

  • Assemble automated machinery and equipment from engineering drawings and blueprints
  • Perform mechanical assembly of machine components, subassemblies, and tooling
  • Route and install electrical wiring, cables, and harnesses
  • Install and route pneumatic tubing and components
  • Read and interpret mechanical, electrical, and pneumatic drawings
  • Mount sensors, motors, actuators, and other automation components
  • Perform equipment troubleshooting and adjustments during assembly
  • Ensure builds meet quality and safety standards
  • Work closely with engineering and project teams to support machine build activities

Qualifications

  • Previous experience building automated assembly equipment, machinery, or automation systems
  • Strong ability to read and interpret mechanical and electrical blueprints
  • Experience with mechanical assembly, machine build, and equipment integration
  • Ability to run and terminate electrical wiring and pneumatic tubing
  • Familiarity with hand tools, power tools, and measurement equipment
  • Ability to work independently with minimal supervision
  • Strong attention to detail and quality workmanship
