Title: Machine Builder
Location: Elk Grove Village, Illinois
Hire Type: Direct Hire
Shift : 1st shift
Compensation: $32-35/hr

• Assemble custom automation equipment and machinery from engineering drawings, assembly prints, and work instructions.
• Install and align mechanical components including conveyors, bearings, gearboxes, motors, servo systems, and machine tooling.
• Perform machine setup, adjustment, timing, and mechanical troubleshooting during assembly and testing.
• Support machine run-off, debugging, startup, and customer acceptance activities.

• 2+ years of machine building, mechanical assembly, maintenance, or automation experience.
• Ability to read and interpret mechanical drawings, assembly prints, and pneumatic schematics.
• Strong mechanical aptitude with experience using hand tools, power tools, and precision measuring equipment.
• Proven troubleshooting skills and the ability to work independently or within a team environment.

• Experience building custom automation equipment, packaging machinery, or OEM machinery.
• Working knowledge of pneumatic systems, servo-driven equipment, and machine timing adjustments.
• Welding, machining, fabrication, or fitting experience.
• Machine installation, startup, commissioning, or customer support experience.

• Build custom machines instead of performing repetitive production work.
• Work closely with engineering, controls, and manufacturing teams on unique projects.
