    Positions Location: East Lansing, MI

    Job Description

    General Purpose of Job:

    Teach a minimum of 5 hours a week on court. Must have a strong pickleball/tennis/racquetball/squash resume, be a good tournament player, a great instructor, and aggressively promote the MAC's racquet program throughout the state.

    Essential Duties:

    This job description is intended to cover the minimum essential duties assigned on a regular basis. Associates may be asked to perform additional duties as assigned by their leader. Leadership has the right to alter or modify the duties of the position.

    • Teach private or group lessons as assigned by the supervisor.
    • Maintain accurate class records.
    • Promote the MAC's tennis & pickleball entire program throughout the MAC and community.
    • Lead and or coordinate with fellow coaches to execute the classes and program as assigned.
    • Attend all staff meetings.
    • Motivate students with new techniques
    • Assist in running tournaments at the MAC.
    • Keep court areas picked up and looking great.
    • Provide individual and group lessons for players
    • Demonstrates knowledge and respects patient, service provider, organizational confidentiality and HIPAA Security procedures and protocols as defined under the HIPAA Privacy and Security Procedures.
    • Follows established HIPAA privacy procedures when using and/or disclosing protected health information.
    • Maintains and protects patients' rights under the HIPAA Privacy Standards.
    • Adheres to ICARE values (Innovation, Compassion, Accountability, Respect, Excellence)

    Job Requirements

    General Requirements USPTA professional or Elite, PTR professional L2 or higher IPTPA or PPR Professional or higher. Work Experience Minimum of 2 years as a teaching pro at a club or resort. Education High school diploma or GED Specialized Knowledge and Skills Strong communication and customer service skills. Strong tennis and pickleball playing skills and teaching skills. A person who leads by example. A self-confident person with an outgoing personality.
