The Fruitland Health Plaza is hiring for a motivated and personable Medical Assistant to work with our urgent care providers!
This position will work with the urgent care providers and will also work with other MAs in a great workplace culture.
Fruitland Health Plaza serves the rural area of Southwest Idaho and Southeast Oregon. Our friendly providers see patients of all ages regardless of household income, health status, or insurance coverage.
From general wellness and urgent care to chronic disease diagnosis and management, we provide quality and convenient healthcare services for all of your family's medical needs.
The Fruitland Health Plaza is a well-established and efficient practice, which makes for a busy, but calm work environment.
In addition to primary MA duties, you will administer immunizations, complete child well visits, and assist with minor procedures.
You will also perform phlebotomy, POC testing, UAs, ear lavages, and also complete tasks and orders in the task inbox.
An Ideal candidate has strong customer service skills, solid follow through, and has strong critical thinking skills.
You also like working in a strong team environment, have effective communication skills, and providing excellent patient care!
40 hours/week, 5 - 8-hour shifts.
Hours will be between 7:00am - 6:00pm. This clinic is open 7 days/week, so weekend availability is preferable.

High School Diploma or equivalent required at hire.
MA certification required within 90 days of hire from one of the following Saint Alphonsus approved agencies:
American Association of Medical Assistants (CMA)
American Medical Technologists (RMA)
National Healthcare Association (CCMA)
National Center for Competency Testing (NCMA)
National Association of Health Professionals (NRCMA)
American Medical Certification Association (CMAC)
National Phlebotomy Certification Examination (NPCE MA)
New Graduates: 1) MA certificate of completion required from an accredited program or school. 2) Completion of either a 100-hour MA externship or 6 months MA experience in lieu of the externship hours even with MA certification.
Medical Assistant with Experience: 1 Year of MA experience OR Current MA Certification OR obtain or renew certification within 90 days from hire from approved credentialing agencies listed above.
Basic Life Support for Healthcare providers certification from either AHA, ARC or the Military Training Network is required at hire.
*Obtaining the MA certification typically requires completing an MA Program or working as a Medical Assistant for at least 1 year. See each of the credentialing organization sites for additional details. EMT and CNA certifications will not count towards an MA certification.
