Job Description:
This job is responsible for defining the engineering approach within an end-to-end technology stack. This job will align to a technical domain but acts as contributor to multiple cross functional teams. Key responsibilities include engaging in development and production environments to identify and improve performance/capacity issues and creating and ensuring system design technology solutions comply with enterprise standards. Job expectations include providing and contributing to improvements in solution design, testing, and delivery practices.
The Global Productivity Architecture and Engineering organization is looking for a Microsoft Copilot Solutions Engineer to join our team. The candidate must be a self-motivated individual with experience in design, integration, and lifecycle management of Copilot-enabled solutions across the Microsoft 365 ecosystem, with a primary focus on Copilot Chat and Copilot Studio–based agents.. Serves as a fully seasoned/proficient technical resource; provides technical knowledge and capabilities as team member and individual contributor. The position requires strong technical and customer communication skills. Candidates should be able to directly engage with all stakeholders including security, compliance, data, user experience, business, engineering, procurement, and governance.
Responsibilities:
Participates in solution-driven discussions, such as various Communities of Practice (COPs), contributes to the design of large or highly complex architectural designs, and finds creative solutions through their knowledge of the domain and operational constraints
Produces detailed designs of infrastructure and application architecture components
Ensures that execution aligns with product strategy by working with product management, product owners, and other stakeholders, contributing to the technology strategy for their technical domain
Collaborates with Development and Infrastructure teams to understand technical solutions and provide the performance capabilities required in the application across the technology stack put forward by Solution Engineer Lead
Mentors and guides more junior Engineers ensuring system design technology solutions comply with enterprise system design and engineering standards
Required Qualifications:
5+ years’ experience of working with enterprise class productivity platforms with artificial intelligence integration
Hands-on experience with Microsoft 365 Copilot and Copilot Chat
Experience with Microsoft 365 core workloads such as Teams, Exchange Online, SharePoint Online, OneDrive for Business
Lead the technical enablement of Microsoft 365 Copilot Chat experiences, including grounding on Microsoft Graph, SharePoint, OneDrive, and approved enterprise data.
Prompt patterns and reusable Copilot interaction models, and chat-based productivity scenarios (research, summarization, ideation, decision support)
Evaluate Copilot Chat usage patterns and identify opportunities for optimization and guardrail improvements
Transition of repeat use cases into managed Copilot Studio agents
Partner with Security and Compliance teams to ensure Copilot Chat access aligns with Bank identity, access, and data controls, and information protection and sensitivity labeling
Design, build, and manage core infrastructure controls for Copilot Studio agents, including declarative and conversational agent design, integration with enterprise content and approved APIs, scenario-specific agents for Teams, business workflows, or executive support.
Help Establish agent lifecycle management practices, including versioning and change management, testing validation, and lifecycle
Define clear patterns for when to use Native Copilot Chat, Copilot Studio agents, and Power Platform integrations
Ensure all Copilot solutions align with Microsoft 365 security and compliance capabilities, including Enterprise information governance and retention policies
Responsible AI principles and usage expectations, including documenting AI usage decisions and safeguards in audit-safe language.
Support regulatory, risk, and audit responses related to Copilot-enabled workflows
Strong understanding of Microsoft Graph, Microsoft 365 data models, and Entra ID identity management
Knowledge of Microsoft Purview DLP polices and compliance services that align to Copilot
Proven solution ownership across full lifecycle
Strong engineering reasoning and documentation skills, including detailed designs and test plans
Experience operating in a regulated or high-control enterprise environment
Ability to communicate complex AI capabilities clearly to non-technical stakeholders
Excellent troubleshooting and problem-solving abilities
Collaborative; open to sharing ideas in a team setting
Exceptional organizational and analytical skills; detail-oriented
Works well in fast-paced environments; sense of urgency
Capable of working with business and technical teams to build requirements
Experienced with ITIL and Agile methodologies
