Strivector s premier client, a well-known market leader in their space, is hiring for the following full-time direct hire position.
POSITION OVERVIEW
As a M/E Engineer 2, Mission Critical, your roles and responsibilities will include:
- Generate, issue, and execute commissioning plans for assigned projects.
- Lead mechanical/electrical coordination processes.
- Review subcontractor shop drawings and submittals.
- Participate in all phases of construction from startup through closeout.
- Develop mechanical/electrical system schedules and sequencing requirements.
- Perform site inspections and constructability reviews.
- Provide budgetary M/E estimates and support preconstruction activities.
- Review mechanical and electrical options and complete systems analysis.
- Participate in bid analysis and subcontractor selection.
- Review design documents and identify potential quality and constructability issues.
- Participate in the commissioning process, including pre-functional checklists and functional testing.
- Represent the company professionally with project teams and clients.
QUALIFICATIONS
Most importantly, you need to be a passionate M/E Engineer who enjoys his work and is considered to be one of the best within your organization. The ideal M/E Engineer would be someone with deep experience in many (if not all) of the following:
- Bachelor s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Architectural Engineering, or related field.
- 2+ years of construction and/or engineering experience.
- Experience with mechanical/electrical construction projects.
- Ability to read and understand plans, drawings, and specifications.
- Knowledge of construction management means and methods.
- Experience with commissioning, inspections, constructability reviews, and submittals.
- Proficiency in MS Office and M/E construction tools and software.
- Strong communication, organization, and collaboration skills.
