    Description

    Key Responsibilities

    • Conduct financial analysis, valuation, and due diligence for acquisition, divestiture, and strategic investment opportunities
    • Build and maintain complex financial models, including discounted cash flow (DCF), comparable company analysis, precedent transactions, leveraged buyout (LBO), and merger models
    • Perform industry, market, and competitive research to identify acquisition targets and evaluate strategic opportunities
    • Analyze financial statements, operating metrics, and business performance to support investment recommendations.
    • Prepare investment memoranda, board presentations, executive summaries, and transaction materials
    • Coordinate cross-functional due diligence efforts with finance, legal, tax, operations, HR, and external advisors
    • Support transaction execution, including negotiations, purchase agreements, financing activities, and closing processes
    • Monitor market trends, valuation multiples, and industry developments affecting acquisition strategy
    • Assist with post-merger integration planning and synergy tracking where applicable
    • Develop relationships with investment bankers, consultants, legal counsel, and other external stakeholders

    Required Qualifications

    • Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, Business Administration, or a related field
    • 2–4 years of experience in investment banking, corporate development, transaction advisory, private equity, or M&A consulting
    • Strong understanding of corporate finance, valuation methodologies, and financial statement analysis
    • Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint
    • Experience building integrated financial models from scratch
    • Strong analytical, quantitative, and problem-solving skills
    • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
    • Ability to manage multiple priorities while meeting tight deadlines
    • High attention to detail and strong organizational skills

     

     

    Preferred Qualifications

    • MBA, CFA, or progress toward a CFA designation
    • Private Equity experience
    • Experience supporting middle-market or large-cap M&A transactions
    • Familiarity with financial databases such as Capital IQ, PitchBook, FactSet, or Bloomberg
    • Experience with data visualization or financial reporting tools (Power BI, Tableau) is a plus

     

    Working Conditions

    • Work is primarily performed remotely from a dedicated home office environment utilizing standard office equipment.
    • Position requires extended periods of sitting and computer use.
    • Ability to lift up to 10 pounds occasionally.
    • Requires close visual acuity for reviewing payroll records, reports, and system data.
    • May require occasional travel to support regional business unit operations and payroll initiatives.
