Lunchroom Aide
- Part-time position: Approximately 3 hours per day, hours TBD by building principal
- Up to 6 total positions available, assignments at Fern Persons Elementary and Olivet Middle School/High School complex.
- School year position. Student Days: Approximately August to June.
- The primary responsibility of this position is helping students during lunch, including opening milk cartons, food packages, and other items, assisting younger students as needed, and helping with clean up.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
- Experience working with children or students is preferred.
- Ability to work positively and patiently with elementary and/or secondary students.
- Ability to maintain appropriate confidentiality regarding students and school matters.
- Dependable, punctual, and able to work cooperatively with students and staff.
- Ability to stand, walk, bend, and perform routine cleaning and lunchroom duties.
- Ability to communicate effectively and maintain a positive attitude.
Skills & Position Requirements
- Assisting students with lunch-related needs and questions.
- Wiping tables and cleaning up food spills and messes.
- Assisting with trash and maintaining a clean, orderly lunchroom.
- Monitoring and encouraging appropriate student behavior.
- Supporting a positive and welcoming environment for students.
- Regular dependable attendance is a critical performance factor to ensure high quality customer service.
