JOB DESCRIPTION Page 1 of 1 PERTH AMBOY BOARD OF EDUCATION Lunchtime Aide General Description The position of Lunchtime Aide involves services concerned with monitoring, assisting and aiding children before, during and after lunch periods under the direction of the school principal or designee. Qualifications Present reference of good moral character. Twenty-one years of age. Typical Duties Under the direct supervision of a certified staff member, the aide:

1. Receives children in lunchroom (or classroom when used for lunch purposes) in an orderly fashion.
2. Assist children to assigned seating areas.
3. Assists children in obtaining lunch.
4. Monitors activity of children in lunchroom setting.
5. Accompanies children to playground setting for remainder of lunch period.
6. Monitors activity of children in playground setting for remainder of lunch period.
