Chelmsford Public Schools - Announcement of Teaching Vacancies for the 2026-2027 School Year

The Chelmsford Public Schools is now accepting applications for the following anticipated vacancy. The District reserves the right to change this vacancy or not fill this vacancy based on further staffing changes, enrollment, or budget.

Position: Lunch/ Recess Aide Location: Chelmsford High School

General Description: To provide student supervision to maintain a well-organized, smoothly functioning school environment. Duties include monitoring students for safety during lunch / break periods.

The successful candidate will be able to work in a team environment to provide a safe and caring environment for all students. Manage students during meal service. Monitor students for safety and social interactions Communicate with students and staff in a positive professional manner. Supervise students during break time. Circulate throughout the cafeteria or in areas where meals are served. Perform other duties as assigned.

Applicants should hold the following qualifications:

• High School Diploma
• Experience working with children and/or teens
• Demonstrated aptitude or competence for assigned responsibilities at the high school level.
• Experience working with age-appropriate students in a school setting.
• Such alternatives to the above qualifications as may be found appropriate and acceptable.

Reports to: School Principal Workdays: 181-day work year Hours per week: 10:30 am - 1:00 pm or as needed (2.5 hours daily)
