We are currently seeking a dependable and safety-focused Ludy Slitter Operator to join our manufacturing team in Jeffersonville, Indiana. This is a temp-to-hire opportunity for individuals looking to build a long-term career in manufacturing.

The successful candidate will be responsible for operating a Ludy slitter machine, inspecting veneer products for quality and specification compliance, maintaining production standards, and ensuring a safe and organized work environment. Training is available for motivated candidates with a strong work ethic and attention to detail.
Responsibilities

• Operate the Ludy slitter machine safely and efficiently.
• Inspect veneer products to ensure they meet customer specifications and quality standards.
• Read and interpret customer specifications and production requirements.
• Meet and maintain established production goals.
• Identify and report defective materials or questionable conditions to the supervisor.
• Complete required production and quality documentation accurately.
• Follow all Lockout/Tagout (LOTO) procedures and safety guidelines.
• Keep work areas and equipment clean, organized, and safe.
• Assist with machine setup and adjustments as directed.
• Work effectively with supervisors and team members to support production goals.

QualificationsRequired

• Ability to work in a manufacturing environment.
• Ability to stand for extended periods.
• Ability to lift and/or move up to 50 pounds.
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality and safety.

Preferred

• High School Diploma or GED.
• At least 1 year of manufacturing or factory experience.
• Previous machine operation experience.

Work Environment
