Overview
Shawnee Mission Kia is seeking a skilled and motivated Main Line Technician to join our growing service team. The ideal candidate will possess strong diagnostic and repair abilities, a commitment to quality workmanship, and a dedication to delivering exceptional customer satisfaction. As a Main Line Technician, you will perform vehicle diagnostics, maintenance, and repairs in accordance with Kia and dealership standards
Responsibilities
- Perform routine maintenance services including oil changes, tire rotations, filter replacements, fluid services, and multi-point inspections.
- Conduct brake, battery, belt, hose, and basic suspension repairs.
- Inspect vehicles and identify maintenance needs or potential concerns.
- Accurately document vehicle inspections and repair recommendations.
- Maintain efficiency and productivity standards established by dealership management.
- Ensure all work is completed according to Kia and dealership quality standards.
- Assist Main Line and Master Technicians as needed.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment.
- Properly use and care for dealership tools, equipment, and shop facilities.
- Participate in manufacturer and dealership training programs.
Qualifications
- Previous automotive maintenance or technician experience preferred.
- Automotive trade school education is a plus.
- Basic understanding of automotive systems and repair procedures.
- Ability to operate shop equipment and diagnostic tools safely.
- Strong work ethic and willingness to learn.
- Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills.
- Valid driver''s license with an acceptable driving record.
