About Carmack's Garage

Carmack's Garage is seeking an Automotive Lube Technician in Poteau, OK, approximately a 35–45 minute commute from the Fort Smith, AR area. This position offers a guaranteed $15/hour base plus $5 for every billed/flagged hour produced. You'll work Monday through Friday with no weekends in an 8-bay shop servicing all makes and models, including light-duty diesel vehicles. On-site and off-site training and certification reimbursement provide opportunities to continue developing your automotive repair skills.

Key Responsibilities

• Perform oil changes and routine preventative maintenance on customer vehicles.
• Check and service vehicle fluids as required.
• Perform tire rotations.
• Replace filters as part of scheduled maintenance services.
• Complete basic vehicle inspections.
• Work efficiently while maintaining dependable productivity.
• Service a mix of makes and models, including light-duty diesel vehicles.

Qualifications

• Basic mechanical aptitude for automotive maintenance work.
• Ability to perform oil changes, fluid services, tire rotations, filter replacements, and basic vehicle inspections.
• Dependable attendance and consistent follow-through.
• Ability to work efficiently in a shop handling approximately 70–80 vehicles per week.
• Willingness to learn and continue developing automotive repair skills.
• Ability to work the Monday–Friday, 8:00 AM–5:00 PM schedule.

For example, a technician working 40 clock hours and producing 40 billed hours would earn the $15/hour base plus an additional $200 in production pay for that week. Actual production pay varies based on billed/flagged hours produced and is not guaranteed.
