A Career that Empowers You to Build Your Future

Join Cloud Engineering as a Cloud Engineer on the Developer Experience (DevEx) team, the group that builds and operates the Internal Developer Platform (IDP) used by every engineering team at Lennar. DevEx owns the developer portal (Spotify Portal, built on Backstage), shared CI/CD pipelines, source control administration, infrastructure as code tooling, application security tooling, and the observability and testing standards teams build on. In this role you will build and maintain platform capabilities through a code-driven model, own components of the platform from design through delivery, and help engineering teams across Lennar get the most out of the tools DevEx provides.

Your Responsibilities on the Team

·         Build and maintain features of the internal developer portal, including plugins, integrations, and software templates.

·         Build and improve reusable service templates that give engineering teams a standardized, self-service way to create new applications and infrastructure.

·         Build, test, and maintain reusable CI/CD pipelines in GitHub Actions used across engineering teams.

·         Support GitHub Enterprise administration, including repository management, access provisioning, and policy enforcement.

·         Develop and maintain infrastructure as code with Terraform, including reusable modules and workspace automation.

·         Integrate security scanning into CI/CD pipelines and help teams address findings.

·         Implement monitoring, logging, and alerting standards for services built on the platform.

·         Contribute to the automated testing frameworks and quality checks built into the developer workflow.

·         Help measure developer productivity and platform adoption through dashboards and reporting.

·         Participate in the team’s support rotation, troubleshoot platform issues, and automate recurring requests.

·         Take part in design reviews, and write documentation and runbooks for the components you own.

·         Review InnerSource contributions from other teams, and mentor Level I engineers on team standards and practices.

Requirements

·         Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field preferred.

·         2-3 years of experience in Software, DevOps, or platform engineering.

·         Proficiency in at least one programming language, such as TypeScript, Python, or Go.

·         Hands-on experience with GitHub and GitHub Actions for CI/CD.

·         Hands-on experience with Terraform for infrastructure as code.

·         Familiarity with core AWS services, including identity and access management, containers, and serverless.

·         Familiarity with Internal Developer Platform (IDP) concepts; exposure to Backstage is a plus.

·         Understanding of good software engineering practices: version control, code review, and automated testing.

·         Familiarity with application security scanning in CI/CD pipelines.

·         Ability to troubleshoot build, deployment, and pipeline failures independently.

·         Strong communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively with engineers across teams.

Bonus: Experience with Backstage or another developer portal; observability tools such as OpenTelemetry, Datadog, or Grafana; test automation frameworks; AWS certifications; contributions to InnerSource or open-source projects.
