Job Description
The Adjunct Workforce Powerline instructor will serve as an instructor for the Workforce intensive daytime Power Line Worker Training Program. This position is responsible for delivering hands-on and classroom instruction that prepares students for entry-level employment in the electric utility industry.
The ideal candidate will model professionalism, promote teamwork, and ensure a rigorous focus on safety, climbing, and use of industry-standard tools. The successful candidate should be a Journeyman Powerline Worker with a minimum of 5 years of experience. Candidates must also hold a Class A CDL License. They should also possess a passion for helping others learn the craft. While teaching experience is highly beneficial, it is not required.
Primary Responsibilities
Telework According to DHRM policy 1.61, Teleworking effective July 5, 2022, Virginia state employees will return to the workplace. Consistent with pre-pandemic policies, telework may be an option for certain eligible positions. Eligible positions are determined by the type of work and job requirements of the position, as defined by heads of agencies.
