What you'll do

The Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) Ambulatory Care Advanced Certified provides direct and indirect patient care under the direction of the Registered Professional Nurse, Nurse Practitioner, Physician's Assistant, or Physician. The LPN functions as part of the interdisciplinary health care team. The LPN, Advanced Certified serves as a resource for other team members and is active in the orientation of new staff. The LPN Advanced Certified functions at a leadership capacity as evidence by requirement as outlined in the Professional Nursing Pathway. The LPN Advanced Certified applies specific knowledge and competence in a specialized field and must remain credentialed to provide the best possible care to patients by maintaining a current National Certification.

• Provides direct and indirect nursing care individualized to the patient's needs

• Advocates for patients to ensure that care preserves and protects the patient's autonomy, dignity and rights

• Works with the Nurse Supervisor and/or Manager to assure the appropriate application of the nursing process of specialty unit

• Performs similar or related duties as requested or directed

What we need from you

Education:

• Graduation from an accredited Practical Nursing program, required

Experience:

• 3 years LPN experience, required
• 2 years' experience within relevant practice area, required
• Previous leadership experience, preferred

License/Certifications:

• Current NYS Licensure as a Practical Nurse (LPN), required
• BLS certification, required
• Certified by a Nationally Recognized Organization or an Accredited Training Program ANCC, NAPNES, ETC., required
• In lieu of National Certification:
• 15 continuing education hours (CE's) specific to your practice area per year
• This is in addition to required CE's as outlined in Element 5
• 45 CE's for Maintenance

Physical Requirements:

• Heavy work exerting up to 100 lbs. of force occasionally, and/or up to 50 lbs of force frequently, and/or up to 20 lbs, of force constantly to move objects

• Occasional balancing, climbing

• Frequent crouching, typing/clerical/dexterity, grasping, hearing, kneeling, lifting, pulling, pushing, reaching, repetitive motion, seeing/monitor/computer use, visual acuity

• Constant standing, stooping, talking, walking, fit testing

Hazards:

• Occasional mechanical, radiation/radiant energy
• Frequent bodily fluids/bloodborne exposure

Working Conditions:

• Occasional extreme temperatures, noise, vibration
• Frequent odors

Travel:

• Occasional Travel - The job may require travel from time- to-time, but not on a regular basis.

We are also offering a sign-on bonus for this position! The bonus amounts are based on the position type and are listed below. Additional details and eligibility requirements will be discussed during the interview process. Bonus Amount:

• RN (excluding management) sign-on bonuses are awarded in the amount of $20,000 for full time
• LPN sign on bonuses are awarded in the amount of $10,000 for full time

Pay Transparency

Salary is based on a variety of factors, including, but not limited to, qualifications, experience, education, licenses, specialty, training, and fair market evaluation based on industry standards. The above compensation range represents a good faith belief of the compensation range by Bassett Healthcare Network, and its entities and affiliates, at the time of this posting or advertisement.

Pay Range Minimum:

USD $26.77/Hr.

Pay Range Maximum:

USD $40.55/Hr.
