GENERAL OVERVIEWThis job is a member of the direct care healthcare team and is responsible for providing care to patients and families under the direction of the registered nurse.

ESSENTIAL RESPONSIBILITIESPerforms general nursing care within the LPN scope of practice. 30Assists with the preparation of equipment and assists the clinical provider registered nurse advanced practice nurse andor physician during treatment examination and testing of patients.20Collects assessment data prepares patient for examination and documents clinical information on patient record and reports any changes in patients condition to the registered nurse advanced practice nurse or physician. 20Orders diagnostic tests as directed by the clinical provider registered nurse advanced practice nurse andor physician and gathers diagnostic tests andor examines results prior to physicianclinical provider assessment. 20Schedules procedures and obtains authorizations as necessary under the directionoversight of the registered nurse. Assists nursing and medical staff with basic medical tasks such as administering medications blood and tissue collection andor other laboratory specimens prepare patients for testing.20Other duties as assigned or requested. 10
