About the Role:Central Adult Day Healthcare Services is looking for a passionate and dedicated Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC) to join our compassionate team in Richmond, VA. Responsibilities:- Provide individual and group counseling sessions to adult clients in a day healthcare environment
- Conduct comprehensive psychosocial assessments and develop individualized treatment plans
- Monitor and document client progress, updating treatment plans as needed
- Collaborate with an interdisciplinary team including physicians, social workers, and healthcare staff
- Offer crisis intervention and de-escalation support when necessary
- Facilitate psychoeducational groups focused on coping skills, mental wellness, and life skills
- Maintain accurate and timely clinical documentation in compliance with regulatory standards
Requirements:- Active Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC) license in the state of Virginia
- Master's degree in Counseling, Psychology, Social Work, or a related field
- Experience working with adult populations, geriatric care, or behavioral health preferred
- Strong knowledge of evidence-based therapeutic modalities (CBT, DBT, motivational interviewing)
- Excellent communication, documentation, and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work collaboratively within a multidisciplinary healthcare team
- Compassionate, patient-centered approach with a commitment to client dignity and respect
