LP Tennis Center Re-stringer will assist with re-stringing team racquets. This position reports directly to the Assistant Athletic Director of Facilities and Game Day Operations and/or Athletic Equipment and Operations Coordinator. Position may offer some shifts during business hours but the majority of shifts needed will be during the weekend and evening hours. We will work around your class schedule.

Core Duties

  • Assist with stringing rackets
  • Court preparation (i.e. court setup, sweeping of courts, trash pickup, and cleaning)
  • Ball retrieval
  • Locker room preparation/support
  • Keep work areas safe and clean and report any issues to management and/or Public Safety
  • Other relevant duties as assigned

Minimum Qualifications

  • Knowledge of Re-String Racquets
  • Ability to work in dynamic, hectic environment
  • Able to interact with peers and general public
  • Physical ability to help move athletic equipment (i.e. nets, benches, balls carts)
  • Good verbal communication skills
  • Attention to detail

Preferred Qualifications

  • Familiarity or experience with varsity or parks/recreation athletic competition
  • Extensive knowledge of Re-String Racquets

Physical Requirements

  • Frequently bend, stoop, and perform extensive movement
  • Exert well-paced mobility to move from different areas of facility as service and production demands require
  • Occasionally exert up to 60 pounds of lifting force and/or negligible amount of force to move objects
  • Students with Federal Work Study in Financial Aid package preferred.
