Superior Communication Services is hiring an experienced Low Voltage Foreman to lead structured cabling and security installation crews on commercial jobsites. This is a hands-on leadership role for someone who can run a crew, read a blueprint, and hold a job to a high standard from start to finish.

We work with industry-leading manufacturers including Panduit, Legrand, CommScope, Belden, and Corning - experience with these product lines is a strong plus.

    What you'll do

    • Lead and supervise a field crew on structured cabling and security installation projects
    • Run daily job planning: material staging, crew assignments, and site logistics
    • Plan and execute telecom/data room (MDF/IDF) buildouts, including rack elevations and layout
    • Rack and stack network equipment: servers, switches, patch panels, and patch cabling
    • Install, terminate, and test Cat6/Cat6A copper cabling and single-mode/multi-mode fiber optic systems
    • Run and terminate RG6/RG11 coax for video and distribution systems
    • Perform cable plant maintenance, troubleshooting, and moves/adds/changes (MACs) on existing infrastructure
    • Perform cable certification testing (Fluke or similar) and troubleshoot failed links
    • Work with structured cabling components from Panduit, Legrand, CommScope, Belden, and Corning
    • Install and terminate fiber using fusion splicing and/or mechanical connectors
    • Read and work from blueprints, riser diagrams, BICSI-standard designs, and project specs
    • Coordinate with project managers, general contractors, and other trades on site
    • Maintain quality control, code compliance, and jobsite safety standards
    • Train and mentor junior technicians and installers

    Requirements

    What You Bring

    • 3+ years of low voltage or structured cabling experience, including lead or foreman-level experience
    • Hands-on Cat6/Cat6A termination and fiber optic installation (splicing and termination)
    • Experience with telecom room and data closet buildouts and rack and stack of network equipment
    • Ability to read blueprints, riser diagrams, and low voltage specs, with working knowledge of NEC and local low voltage code
    • Comfortable using cable testers and certifiers (Fluke DSX or equivalent)
    • Strong leadership skills: comfortable running a crew and holding people accountable
    • Valid driver's license, reliable transportation, and willingness to travel up to 50%

    Worth Mentioning

    • BICSI certification (RCDD, Installer 1/2, or Technician)
    • Familiarity with Panduit, Legrand, CommScope, Belden, or Corning product systems
    • Experience with security systems: CCTV, access control, and IP camera installation
    • RG6/RG11 coax installation and distribution
    • Background in sports team leadership. Plenty of our best techs were captains, coaches, or team leaders in competitive sports, and that same drive and accountability shows up in their work.

    Growth Path

Foreman > Field Supervisor > Associate Project Manager. We promote from within whenever we can.

    The Bottom Line

If you can run a crew and hold a job to a high standard, we want to hear from you.
