Low Voltage Estimator – Full Scope Division 27/28Fort Lauderdale, FL | Full-time | On-siteWhy this role existsCoranet needs an estimator who can own complete commercial low-voltage bid packages-from drawing review and takeoff through pricing, proposal, and post-award turnover. You'll work directly with sales, vendors, and project managers to deliver accurate, clearly scoped bids on time.This is a hands-on estimating role. Own the consolidated low-voltage scope, including interfaces between systems and other tradesTakeoffs in Bluebeam Revu. Drawings, specs, addenda, symbol sets, toolsets, revisions. This is where you'll live. Detailed and accurate with part numbers and counts.Estimates in simPRO. Labor, material, assemblies, job-costing inputs. If you haven't used simPRO, we'll teach you - it's learnable in weeks if you already think like an estimator.Full Div. 27/28 scope: structured cabling, fiber, pathway and support, racks and cabinets, CCTV, access control, intrusion, wireless, AV, BDA, and related systems.Scope gaps and bid risks. Find what's missing or contradictory in the documents, write the RFIs and clarifications, propose the fix. Nobody hands you a clean set.Proposals and bid reviews: Clean, defensible scope language - inclusions, exclusions, assumptions, alternates, value engineering.Vendor and manufacturer pricing. Solicit, level, and validate distributor and sub quotes. Push for better numbers.Post-award support: Cut sheets, product data, and a clean turnover to PM: scope, assumptions, labor plan, procurement notes. You stay with the job past the win.Bid pipeline. Track what's out, follow up, flag risk, keep award probability honest.Customer support and sales pitches: support sales technically on customer pitches as neededYou'll work shoulder to shoulder with sales - in on pitches and bid reviews as the technical voice in the room.What you'll bringExperience independently estimating commercial low-voltage projects, including takeoffs, labor and material pricing, vendor coordination, and proposal preparation.Strong working knowledge of structured cabling, access control and physical security, with the ability to coordinate pricing for other systems within a complete package.Strong Bluebeam Revu skills or demonstrated proficiency with comparable takeoff software.The ability to read and reconcile plans, specifications, schedules, risers, and addenda.Sound judgment about what is included, what is missing, and when an assumption needs review.Reliable deadline management and the ability to handle multiple bids.Availability to work daily in our Fort Lauderdale office.Nice to have - we'll train the restsimPRO, or another estimating/ops platform (Accubid, McCormick, ConEst, D-Tools).Access control and VMS platforms: LenelS2, Genetec, Software House, AMAG, HID, Avigilon, Milestone, Verkada, Brivo, Openpath.Light engineering instinct: device placement logic, system architecture, riser and schematic coordination.AV, BMS, lighting control, or DAS exposure.BICSI, RCDD, or manufacturer certifications. Associate's degree or trade/technical training a plus, not required.Your first 90 daysWeeks 1–2: Learn our assemblies, labor units, and proposal standards. Shadow live bids.
