Pay Rate: $18.00-$20.00/hr

TradeSTAR Austin is hiring Low Voltage Cabling Apprentices!

TradeSTAR is partnering with well-established companies in the low-voltage and telecommunications industry to bring motivated individuals opportunities to get started in a growing trade.

This is a great opportunity for someone looking to build a career in the construction industry while learning valuable technical skills. As an apprentice, you will work alongside experienced technicians and gain hands-on experience installing low-voltage cabling systems in commercial buildings throughout the Austin area.

What You Will Learn
Install and route low-voltage cabling throughout commercial buildings.
Work with CAT5e, CAT6, and structured cabling systems.
Install cable supports, J-hooks, cable trays, and pathways.
Assist with pulling, dressing, and organizing cables.
Learn basic cable termination at data jacks, patch panels, and network racks.
Assist with installing data outlets and other low-voltage devices.
Read basic blueprints and follow cable pathways.
Use hand tools, ladders, and jobsite equipment.
Learn proper jobsite safety procedures and installation practices.

Previous construction, electrical, warehouse, or general labor experience is a plus, but not required.
