Riverside Hotel is seeking a Loss Prevention Officer. You are the trusted presence that keeps Riverside Hotel safe, welcoming, and memorable.
What You'll Do
- Protect hotel property and support the safety of guests, associates, and their belongings.
- Patrol the property, identify hazards or suspicious activity, and document security incidents.
- Respond promptly to emergencies, including fire, smoke, illness, injury, disturbances, and unusual incidents.
- Conduct preliminary investigations of criminal and non-criminal incidents and support surveillance activities when needed.
- Assist guests with information, directions, and other service needs while maintaining a welcoming presence.
- Support hotel operations by coordinating with Loss Prevention Officers and assisting with crowd control, secure, secure area access, and personnel and cash escorts.
- Conducts surveillance for the safety of all guests and associates when necessary.
- Review daily communication tools, including required reading boards, function sheets, and pass down logs, to remain informed of operational priorities, guest activity, and security related matters.
- Assist with training newly assigned Loss Prevention Officers.
- Ensure a safe and secure environment by monitoring first-aid supply inventories and collecting used Ving key cards from room attendant carts on a scheduled basis.
- Perform other duties assigned by the supervisor to support the department and hotel.
What You'll Bring
- High school diploma or GED equivalent
- Current CPR certification required.
- Valid Florida driver's license required
- Valid Florida Class D Security Officer license required.
- Experience in loss prevention, security, hospitality, or customer service preferred.
- Proficiency in CCTV monitoring, video retrieval, smartphones, and mobile technology.
- Flexible availability for emergencies and ongoing investigations.
- Sound judgement and decision making skills.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities effectively.
Physical Requirement
- Ability to lift and carry at least 30Ilbs.
- Ability to stand, walk, sit, climb stairs, bend, twist, and stoop for extended or intermittent periods while patrolling the property.
- Ability to work indoors and outdoors in a varying weather conditions, noise levels, crowds, and high traffic areas; remain alert during assigned shifts; and respond calmly and promptly to emergencies or potentially stressful situations.
