    Description

    Westminster Christian Academy is currently seeking a Long-term Substitute Chemistry Teacher to start as soon as possible. The long-term sub will teach 5 classes and serve for the remainder of the school year.

    Founded in 1976 as an independent, coeducational school, Westminster Christian Academy provides a comprehensive college preparatory program for 970 students in grades 7 through 12. The school is located in suburban St. Louis County, Missouri, on a 70-acre campus, 20 minutes from downtown St. Louis.

    Westminster Christian Academy honors Jesus Christ by providing an excellent education, rooted in biblical truth as interpreted by the Westminster Confession of Faith, for the children of Christian parents. Faculty and staff enable students to discover and embrace a biblical view of the world and integrate that view into every area of life.

    Hours are 7:30 a.m. to 3:30 p.m.; long-term sub pay is $215 per day.  

    Qualifications
    • A clear testimony of a personal saving relationship with Jesus Christ
    • Membership or faithful attendance at an approved Protestant church congregation
    • Bachelor’s Degree
    • Experience in middle and/or secondary school setting strongly preferred
    • Experience teaching Science strongly preferred
    • Strong classroom management skills
    • Strong professional or collegiate references
    In order to complete the application process, candidates must also have:
    1. Two professional references submit our Faculty Candidate Evaluation on their behalf.
    2. One Pastor Reference submitted on their behalf.
