Long Island Based - Retail Construction Superintendent

We're looking to connect with a Superintendent who has experience running commercial interiors or retail projects and is comfortable managing jobs across Long Island and NYC. This role is ideal for someone who enjoys being hands-on in the field, working closely with ownership, and taking real ownership of projects from start through closeout.

Our client is a Long Island-based, family-owned commercial General Contractor with over 20+ years of experience delivering retail, restaurant, and commercial interior projects throughout NYC and the Northeast. Description

• Oversee day-to-day field operations across NYC and Long Island projects
• Manage retail buildouts, tenant fit-outs, and commercial interior projects
• Coordinate subcontractors, deliveries, and jobsite logistics
• Drive schedules and ensure projects stay on track and within budget
• Maintain compliance with NYC DOB, OSHA, and safety requirements
• Lead daily logs, jobsite meetings, and progress reporting
• Read and interpret construction drawings and specifications
• Maintain quality control on finishes and retail buildouts
• Manage inspections, punchlists, and project closeout

Profile

A successful Superintendent should have:

• 5-12+ years as a Construction Superintendent / Field Superintendent
• Experience in retail construction, commercial interiors, or renovations
• Comfortable working across NYC and Long Island jobsites
