Logistics Traffic Coordinator

Our client, Logistics and Ocean Transportation Operations is seeking a Logistics Traffic Coordinator to join their team. As a Logistics Traffic Coordinator, you will be part of the Operations team supporting daily inbound and outbound shipment execution. The ideal candidate will have strong organization, clear communication, and the ability to prioritize multiple moving parts—skills that will help you keep warehouse and customer service workflows running smoothly.

Job Title: Logistics Traffic Coordinator

Location: Jacksonville, FL

Pay Range: $20-21 an hour

Shift: could be 7am-4pm, 8am-5pm or 9am-6pm

What's the Job?

• Ensure daily available truck capacity to support reliable customer service while maintaining expected margins.
• Develop and maintain daily shipment schedules by optimizing routes and loads to improve efficiency and reduce costs.
• Coordinate and monitor all inbound and outbound shipments to ensure timely, accurate deliveries.
• Organize and schedule transportation, including booking carriers, assigning routes, and managing delivery timelines.
• Track and manage chassis usage, container days, and timely returns to help avoid detention and demurrage fees.

What's Needed?

• At least 1 year of experience handling traffic, documentation, and customer service functions for ocean transportation.
• High School diploma or equivalent.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English (required); Spanish is preferred but not required.
• Basic proficiency in MS Word, Excel, and Outlook.
• Ability to prioritize and manage multiple tasks while using sound judgment to meet daily operational needs.
