Logistics Technician - Shipping, Inventory & Material Handling
Location: 1007 E. University Drive, Phoenix, AZ 85034
Contract: 6 months | Pay: $24/hr | 3 Openings | US Citizen Required
About the Role
Join our fast-paced logistics team as a Logistics Technician, where you'll be at the heart of shipping, inventory, and material handling for a leading aerospace operation. This role is perfect for detail-oriented professionals eager to grow their logistics career while working with advanced systems and hands-on processes.
Responsibilities
- Ensure a safe, organized workplace by following all safety protocols and wearing required PPE
- Maintain clean shelves, walkways, pallet areas, and workstations for optimal material flow
- Stock materials, convert work orders, and prepare products for timely shipment
- Generate pick tickets and Certificates of Conformance for quality review
- Process domestic and international shipments using SAP and customer portals
- Produce shipping and serial number labels using FedEx Ship Manager and Label Matrix
- Package and stage parcels to guarantee on-time delivery
- Conduct manual counts and scanning for inventory accuracy
- Operate forklifts, hand trucks, dollies, and burden carriers for efficient material movement
- Cross-train in various logistics functions to support operational flexibility
Required Skills and Experience
- High School Diploma, AA/AS, or equivalent 2-year post-secondary training
- Minimum 2 years of experience in logistics, shipping, warehouse, or material handling
- Strong focus on detail, safety, and process adherence
Preferred Skills
- Experience with SAP or similar ERP systems
- Proficiency in FedEx Ship Manager, Label Matrix, or comparable shipping software
- Hands-on inventory control or cycle counting background
- Familiarity with material handling equipment
- Prior work in manufacturing or regulated industry
