Job Description:
Purpose of this Position:
  • Responsible for assisting in the completion of production administrative work, building sanitation, and logistics tasks.
  • Applies training and skills to perform various tasks that support production.
  • Trains others in operations, techniques, and skills.

Responsibilities:
  • Performs operations in compliance with work instructions.
  • Completes production logistics by moving materials and transacting information through production systems.
  • Performs building sanitation tasks and maintains a clean work environment.
  • Prepares material for operations and logistical tasks.
  • Interfaces with plant systems (e.g., document control, manufacturing execution system).
  • Communicates effectively and updates/maintains records as needed.
  • Trains others in responsibilities.
  • Performs van runs between Fairport buildings (Building 57 & Building 430) to support operational needs.
  • Utilizes Vertical Lift Module (VLM) and mobile racking for picking.
  • Performs any other Production Support I responsibilities.

Working Conditions:
  • Good working conditions.
  • Frequently lifts or moves materials up to 5 pounds.
  • Occasionally lifts or moves materials up to 15 pounds.
  • Rarely lifts or moves materials more than 25 pounds.
  • Operates manual pallet jacks as needed to move materials safely and efficiently.
  • Uses carts for movement of materials through the warehouse.
  • Minimal exposure to disagreeable elements.
  • Cleanroom environment prevalent.
  • Personal protective equipment required, including but not limited to safety shoes, safety glasses, and cleanroom garments (frock, gloves, facemask, etc.).

Education:
  • High School Diploma or GED required.

Work Experience:
  • 1–2+ years' work experience.
  • No manufacturing experience required, though applicable experience in a transferable field is desired (examples include shipping and warehouse experience).
  • Experience with SAP is desired but not required
