Logistics / Supply Chain Supervisor

The Logistics / Supply Chain Supervisor will be responsible for overseeing supply chain operations, including planning, purchasing, inventory management, warehousing, and distribution, while ensuring materials and products move efficiently throughout the organization. Logistics / Supply Chain Supervisor Education and Experience: Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management, Industrial Engineering, Business Administration, or a related field preferred.

Clayton Services is searching for a Logistics / Supply Chain Supervisor to join a thriving manufacturing company in the Humble, Texas area. The Logistics / Supply Chain Supervisor will be responsible for overseeing supply chain operations, including planning, purchasing, inventory management, warehousing, and distribution, while ensuring materials and products move efficiently throughout the organization.

Job Type: Direct Hire
Pay Rate: $75,000 - $100,000

Logistics / Supply Chain Supervisor Responsibilities:

• Oversee day-to-day supply chain, logistics, inventory, and warehouse activities.
• Coordinate demand, supply, and production planning to support manufacturing requirements.
• Manage inventory levels and help prevent material shortages, excess inventory, and production interruptions.
• Oversee purchasing activities and supplier performance to support quality, cost, and delivery expectations.
• Coordinate receiving, storage, picking, packing, and outbound distribution activities.
• Monitor supplier performance and assist with resolving material, quality, and delivery issues.
• Develop and monitor supply chain performance metrics, including inventory accuracy, inventory turnover, forecast accuracy, and on-time delivery.
• Maintain accurate inventory and supply chain transactions within ERP systems.
• Identify supply chain risks and implement appropriate corrective or preventive measures.
• Partner with production, sales, purchasing, and finance teams to support operational requirements.
• Identify opportunities to improve processes, reduce costs, and increase efficiency.
• Lead, train, and develop supply chain and logistics personnel.
• Maintain compliance with company safety, quality, and operational procedures.

Logistics / Supply Chain Supervisor Skills and Abilities:

• Strong knowledge of manufacturing supply chain and logistics operations.
• Understanding of production planning, purchasing, inventory control, warehousing, and distribution.
• Strong leadership and team-management abilities.
• Excellent organizational and planning skills.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving capabilities.
• Ability to evaluate operational data and make sound business decisions.
• Effective supplier-management and negotiation skills.
• Strong communication and cross-functional collaboration skills.
• ERP experience required; SAP experience is highly preferred.
• Bilingual English/Spanish skills are highly preferred.
• Ability to travel internationally for company-sponsored training.

Logistics / Supply Chain Supervisor Education and Experience:

• Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management, Industrial Engineering, Business Administration, or a related field preferred.
• Equivalent education and relevant professional experience will be considered.
• Minimum 5 years of supply chain, logistics, purchasing, or materials experience within a manufacturing or industrial environment.
• 2 3 years of supervisory or leadership experience preferred.
• Experience overseeing multiple areas of the supply chain, including inventory, warehousing, purchasing, planning, and distribution, strongly preferred.
