Logistics Specialist

Our client, a growing transportation and logistics provider, is seeking a Logistics Specialist to join their team. As a Logistics Specialist, you will be part of the Transportation Operations team supporting dispatch, freight coordination, and customer service functions. The ideal candidate will have strong communication skills, exceptional attention to detail, and the ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment which will align successfully in the organization.

Job Title: Logistics Specialist
Location: Southfield, MI
Pay Range: $20.00 - $22.00 per hour
Shift: 1st, 2nd, and 3rd Shift Opportunities Available

What's the Job?

• Coordinate and track freight shipments while ensuring on-time pickups and deliveries.
• Dispatch drivers, communicate route information, and provide shipment status updates to customers and internal teams.
• Monitor transportation activities and proactively resolve delivery delays, scheduling issues, and service concerns.
• Maintain accurate shipment records, load information, and transportation data within company systems.
• Partner with carriers, drivers, and customers to deliver outstanding service and operational efficiency.

• At least 1 year of experience in logistics, transportation, dispatch, supply chain, or a related field.
• High School Diploma or GED.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills with the ability to interact professionally with customers and carriers.
• Proficiency with computer systems, data entry, and multitasking in a fast-paced environment.
• Strong organizational and problem-solving skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities effectively.
