Position Summary
We are seeking a detail-oriented Temporary Logistics Data Entry Specialist to support our inventory operations. This role is primarily responsible for accurately receiving materials into inventory, entering and locating information in our inventory management system, and handling chemical materials in accordance with safety guidelines. The ideal candidate will have strong data entry skills, attention to detail, and experience or comfort working with chemicals.
Key Responsibilities
•Receive incoming materials, match packing slips to purchase orders, and enter material data into the inventory management system
•Tag and identify materials, ensuring all required paperwork is completed and filed appropriately
•Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of inventory locations and material status
•Locate and retrieve information within the inventory system as requested by team members or supervisors
•Handle chemical materials safely and in compliance with company Health & Safety policies and procedures
•Support the segregation and proper handling of expired or non-conforming materials
•Communicate effectively with team members to ensure timely and accurate inventory updates
•Maintain a clean and organized work area, ensuring supplies are stocked to avoid disruptions
•Perform other data entry and inventory support tasks as assigned
Basic Qualifications
•High School Diploma or equivalent required
•Previous experience in data entry, inventory, or material handling preferred
•Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and stand/walk for extended periods
•Comfortable working in a fast-paced environment with chemicals (training provided)
•Strong computer skills and attention to detail
•Ability to prioritize tasks and meet deadlines
•Good verbal and written communication skills
•Must be self-motivated, reliable, and able to work as part of a team
Work Environment & Physical Requirements
•Work is performed in a warehouse or inventory environment
•Frequent standing, walking, and bending to retrieve products
•Handling of chemical materials with appropriate PPE (Personal Protective Equipment) provided
Additional Information
•Temporary position, duration as needed by business requirements
•Pre-employment drug screen and background check required
