    Description

    Logistics Specialist

    ASRC Federal is seeking a Logistics Specialist to support our Logistics/Supply program.

    Job Duties:

    1. Plan, implement and coordinate contract activities as it relates to the processing of Department of Defense deliveries.
    2. Uses the government's web-based distribution and transportation system to log, track and download military shipping labels and transportation documentation.
    3. Follows clearly detailed procedures to obtain shipping instructions for material that may have specialized shipping requirements e.g. hazardous, perishable...
    4. Completes online forms to obtain required shipping information.
    5. Processes transactions in ASRC's warehouse management system.
    6. Coordinates with others doing similar work on what to work and solve similar issues.
    7. Communicates via email, phone and Microsoft Teams as needed.
    8. Interprets system generated error messages and takes corrective action.
    9. Notifies management when problems arise, makes recommendations and implements solutions.
    10. Attends conference calls as required.

    Basic Qualifications:

    • HS Diploma required.
    • Strong communication skills, both verbal and written.
    • Proficient computer skills and experience with the MS Office Suite.
    • Ability to understand and follow directions.
    • Able to multitask and stay organized with all orders in various stages of processing.
    • Prior government contract work a plus.
