Logistics Specialist - Coppell, TX - Contract - $30-40 Per HR
The Logistics Specialist role in Coppell, TX, is a 12-month contract position. This role involves coordinating and expediting work and materials flow within or between departments according to production schedules. Responsibilities include reviewing production, work, and shipment schedules, and compiling inventory and cost reports. Proficiency in general office software is required.
Key Responsibilities
- Review and approve production schedules, work orders, and staffing tables to determine personnel and materials requirements.
- Monitor work processes to assess completeness and conformance to standards.
- Confer with department supervisors to assess progress and discuss necessary changes.
- Revise production schedules in response to design changes, labor, or material shortages.
- Coordinate production and shipping activities with vendors and customers to resolve complaints or eliminate delays.
Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED required.
- 8-10 years of related experience required.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills, attention to detail, and problem-solving abilities.
- Ability to analyze costs related to manufacturing, labor, and materials.
- Experience with general office software applications.
