Position Overview

This position serves as a key logistics resource supporting shore side operations, remote depot locations, and project teams throughout the organization. The role requires a high degree of independent judgment, operational flexibility, and logistics expertise to coordinate complex domestic and international freight movements, support mobilization activities, and resolve shipping and transportation challenges with minimal supervision. The Specialist supports warehouse, logistics, depot support, and materials management operations by cross-referencing stock number material to vendor part numbers, helping ensure customer assets are used before open-market purchases. This role operates 4k-55k forklift trucks, coordinates material and equipment movement between buildings, ships and warehouse locations, supports shipping and stowage activities, and works with various departments such as Cable Splicers, Engineers, and Machinery Repair Facility personnel to establish parts lists for upcoming projects. Applicants must be able to travel domestically and internationally, work at remote locations, support extended shifts as needed, and demonstrate proficiency in Microsoft Office Products and Adobe.

Responsibilities

• Logistic & Depot specialist planning warehouse resources and activities in keeping with operations objectives and targets.
• Perform warehouse duties, including cycle counts, inventories, material tracking, and warehouse organization.
• Coordinates shipping and receiving of parts, supplies, equipment, and related documentation.
• Maintain material handling equipment and vehicle readiness.
• Procurement support including part research within the Stock Numbers.
• Monitor and coordinate HAZMAT procurement, storage, and proper disposal.
• Provide depot manager support, including material movement, site coordination, and logistics support at remote or international locations as required.
• Identify and resolve logistics constraints, transportation delays, material shortages, and supply chain disruptions with limited management oversight.
• Provide logistics planning and execution support for remote sites, customer locations, and project teams throughout the company.
• Ensure compliance with applicable DOT, OSHA, IMDG, IATA, export control, customs, and hazardous material shipping requirements.

ADDITIONAL RESPONSIBILITIES

• Establish, monitor, improve, and report key business metrics with a focus towards customer satisfaction.
• Coordinate activities among Operations, Engineering, Procurement, Project Management, Quality, Customs Brokers, Freight Forwarders, and Transportation Providers.
• Improve warehouse organization / layout to reduce cycle time to receive, pull and ship or issue material.
• Ensure warehouse safety, security, and compliance. Maintain proper storage, housekeeping, and access control for all facilities and equipment.
• Additional duties as directed by supervision.
