What your day will look like:- Plan and execute transportation requirements across
clients
global logistics network.
- Partner with EH&S to investigate and resolve incidents involving inbound and outbound shipments, minimizing impacts to service, quality, and operations.
- Develop, maintain, and monitor logistics project plans, schedules, budgets, and timelines.
- Identify and implement process improvement opportunities that increase efficiency, reduce costs, and support organizational goals.
- Coordinate transportation schedules and execution while managing administrative responsibilities, including shipping documentation and financial inquiries.
- Monitor assigned projects, track progress, and proactively resolve issues or delays.
- Optimize the logistics network through efficient route planning, carrier coordination, and resource utilization.
- Prepare, review, and maintain accurate shipping documentation, including manifests, e-manifests, and Bills of Lading (BOLs).
- Serve as the central point of contact for internal and external customers regarding transportation and logistics inquiries.
- Collaborate with customers, vendors, carriers, and internal teams to define requirements, scope, timelines, and objectives.
- Apply root cause analysis and problem-solving techniques to identify and resolve logistics, carrier, and vendor issues.
- Track and maintain key performance indicators (KPIs) related to logistics network efficiency, service, and performance.
- Prepare accurate reports, analyses, and performance updates for upper management.
- Monitor and manage inventory levels, including materials held at off-site storage facilities and vendor locations.
What we are looking for:- Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Supply Chain Management, Logistics, or a related field preferred.
- 5–7 years of logistics experience, preferably in an international or global environment.
- 3–5 years of experience in ocean export operations preferred.
- Proven experience in logistics management, transportation operations, and industry best practices.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office, including Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
- Knowledge of root cause analysis and continuous improvement methodologies.
- Ability to collaborate effectively with employees, management, customers, vendors, and other stakeholders at all levels.
- Working knowledge of applicable laws, regulations, government requirements, agency procedures, and compliance standards related to logistics and international trade.
- Strong work ethic with a high level of accountability, organization, and attention to detail.
- Advanced knowledge of global customs systems and trade platforms, including CHIEF, ACE, ENS, and RCRA.
- Strong knowledge and hands-on experience with U.S., U.K., and E.U. customs regulations and international trade requirements.
