    Job Title: Logistics Order Fulfillment Specialist

    Location(s): Cary, NC

    Position Overview
    A leading medical technology organization is seeking a Logistics Order Fulfillment Specialist to support its Customer Service Material Logistics team. This fully remote, back-office position supports the fulfillment of spare parts, tools, and other materials required to service medical imaging equipment across the United States.

    The role is ideal for an organized, technology-savvy professional who can manage multiple priorities, communicate effectively, investigate order issues, and remain calm when handling urgent requests related to hospital equipment downtime.

    This position is part of a significant operational ramp-up associated with an upcoming SAP system upgrade.

    Work Arrangement

    • Preferred Location: Candidate must reside in the greater Raleigh-Durham-Cary, NC area, preferably within approximately one hour of Cary, NC
    • Travel: None required
    • Training: Approximately 4–5 weeks of structured, hands-on remote training through Microsoft Teams
    • Home Office: Quiet, dedicated workspace required
    • Equipment: Headset and dual-monitor setup required
    • On-Call: Participation in an on-call rotation approximately every eight weeks
    Schedule

    Multiple fixed schedules are available. Candidates should indicate their preferred/available shift on their resume.

    • Monday–Friday, 9:30 AM–6:30 PM
    • Tuesday–Saturday, 8:00 AM–5:00 PM
    • Tuesday–Saturday, 1:00 PM–10:00 PM
    • Sunday–Thursday, 1:00 PM–10:00 PM
    • Monday–Friday, 10:00 AM–7:00 PM
    • Monday–Friday, 10:30 AM–7:30 PM

    Schedules include a lunch period and are generally fixed rather than rotating. Flexibility to provide coverage for other shifts during staffing shortages is required.

    Key Responsibilities

    • Process and manage urgent spare part, tool, and material orders for medical equipment repairs.
    • Enter and manage orders in SAP and other internal systems.
    • Respond to incoming phone calls, emails, and order requests from internal and external customers.
    • Support Field Service Engineers, Technical Support Engineers, Customer Care teams, Parts Return teams, and warehouse/logistics partners.
    • Track shipments, backorders, and delivery status using carrier and warehouse systems.
    • Investigate delayed, missing, or incorrectly fulfilled orders and determine appropriate resolutions.
    • Research and escalate semi-complex spare parts and tool order issues.
    • Coordinate with warehouse and transportation partners to expedite critical shipments.
    • Reconcile shipments and ensure parts are accurately assigned to the appropriate field service personnel.
    • Perform inventory-related and basic accounting activities associated with order fulfillment.
    • Navigate multiple systems simultaneously, including SAP, Outlook, FedEx/DHL tracking platforms, and warehouse systems.
    • Maintain accurate documentation and provide timely updates to stakeholders.
    • Adapt to changing priorities and manage high-volume requests in a fast-paced environment.
    Work Environment
    This is a phone-heavy, high-volume operational role supporting approximately 2,000 field service engineers across the United States. Requests may be urgent because they can directly impact medical equipment availability at healthcare facilities.

    The successful candidate must be comfortable:

    • Handling multiple requests and systems simultaneously.
    • Prioritizing urgent issues.
    • Researching information across multiple platforms.
    • Communicating clearly with internal customers and external partners.
    • Working under time pressure while maintaining accuracy.
    • Resolving problems independently and escalating issues appropriately.
    Required Qualifications
    • At least 1 year of professional work experience.
    • Strong computer and Microsoft Office skills.
    • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
    • Strong customer service orientation.
    • Excellent organization and attention to detail.
    • Ability to multitask effectively in a fast-paced environment.
    • Strong typing and system-navigation skills.
    • Ability to analyze information and make sound decisions.
    • Ability to learn new systems and processes quickly.
    • Collaborative, proactive, and results-oriented approach.
    • Ability to remain composed when handling high-pressure or urgent situations.
    • Flexibility to provide coverage for other shifts when needed.
    • Must reside in the greater Raleigh-Durham-Cary, NC area.
    Preferred Backgrounds
    Candidates with experience in the following areas may be particularly well suited:
    • Customer-facing positions
    • Order coordination or order administration
    • Logistics or supply chain coordination
    • Administrative or operations support
    • Technical writing
    • Finance or accounting
    • Education/teaching
    • Other roles requiring strong organization, communication, multitasking, and computer skills

    Call center experience is not required. Candidates with strong transferable skills from other customer-facing or coordination-focused environments are encouraged to apply.

    SAP Experience
    Previous SAP or ERP experience is not required. The system is highly customized, and comprehensive training will be provided.
