Summary:
Provides dedicated supply, logistics, and property management services for a Department of War unit under FAR and military guidelines.
Oversees physical receipt, storage, issue, and tracking of unit equipment, tactical gear, and supplies.
Populates, updates, and manages official property tracking databases including DPAS and GCSS-Army.
Maps asset lifecycle from acquisition to disposition.
Conducts physical, wall-to-wall cyclic and sensitive item inventories.
Matches serial numbers, national stock numbers (NSNs), and part numbers against system records.
Generates and tracks sub-hand receipts, temporary loans, and component listings to hold individual equipment users accountable.
Inspects incoming shipments for damage, verifies pack-slips, coordinates shipping logistics for outgoing gear, and manages local storage yards or warehouses.
Researches missing, damaged, or destroyed property.
Prepares draft packets for Financial Liability Investigation of Property Loss (FLIPL) for government adjudication.
Requirements:
Active Secret Security Clearance required to start.
Must be a U.S. Person (as defined by ITAR).
Bachelor's degree in supply chain management, logistics, or equivalent military supply experience (e.g., Army 92Y/92A, USAF 2S, Navy LS).
Expert-level proficiency operating DoD property accounting systems, specifically DPAS (Defense Property Accountability System) or GCSS (Global Combat Support System).
4+ years of dedicated experience in military supply room operations, warehouse logistics, or property book management.
Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and work in non-climate-controlled warehouse environments.
Experience processing and managing sub-hand receipts and component listings.
Experience inspecting incoming shipments and coordinating outgoing logistics.
Experience researching missing, damaged, or destroyed property.
Experience preparing FLIPL packets for government adjudication.
