Logistics & Customer Service Representative (Export Operations) – Temporary Contract

Position Overview

We are seeking a detail-oriented Logistics & Customer Service Representative to join our team on a temporary contract. This role is ideal for a customer-focused logistics professional with experience supporting international shipping, export operations, and supply chain coordination.

As the Logistics & Customer Service Representative, you will serve as the primary liaison between customers, internal business partners, manufacturing, and logistics providers to ensure the timely and accurate distribution of finished goods. You will coordinate domestic and international shipments, manage export documentation, support inventory planning, and help optimize logistics processes while delivering exceptional customer service.

Key Responsibilities
  • Serve as the primary point of contact between customers, manufacturing, Global Business Services (GBS), transportation providers, and internal departments to ensure seamless order fulfillment.
  • Build and maintain strong customer relationships by responding promptly to inquiries and resolving shipping, logistics, and order-related issues.
  • Coordinate inbound and outbound domestic and international shipments to ensure on-time delivery.
  • Manage export logistics activities, including freight planning, shipment scheduling, and transportation coordination.
  • Process and monitor transportation orders using SAP Transportation Management (SAP TM) or similar ERP systems.
  • Track shipments, monitor delivery status, and resolve transportation issues proactively.
  • Review, prepare, and maintain export documentation to ensure compliance with international shipping requirements and customer specifications.
  • Validate transportation invoices and support freight cost management.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to prevent product shortages while maintaining targeted inventory levels.
  • Coordinate with international markets to ensure required tax stamps and regulatory documentation are available for production and shipment.
  • Support transportation forecasting activities through weekly and monthly planning.
  • Participate in continuous improvement initiatives focused on logistics efficiency, customer satisfaction, and operational excellence.
  • Maintain accurate records while ensuring compliance with company policies, safety standards, environmental regulations, ISO requirements, and quality procedures.
  • Promote a safe work environment and support organizational safety initiatives.
  • Perform additional duties as assigned.
Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in Logistics, Supply Chain, Business, Economics, or a related field preferred.
  • Minimum of 2 years of experience in customer service, logistics, supply chain, export operations, or international trade.
  • Experience coordinating export shipments and preparing international shipping documentation.
  • Supply chain or manufacturing experience is preferred.
  • Strong understanding of transportation, freight coordination, and international logistics processes.
  • Excellent customer service, communication, and relationship-building skills.
  • Highly organized with exceptional attention to detail and the ability to manage multiple priorities.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
  • Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, cross-functional environment.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office, especially Excel.
  • Experience with SAP, SAP Transportation Management (SAP TM), or other ERP systems is highly preferred.
  • Fluent in written and spoken English.
