    Hiring Manager: Harvey Rivera

    This is an Hourly Non - Exempt Position

    Key Responsibilities:

    • Promote safety culture through leadership, actions, and championing continuous improvement.
    • Ensure timely transportation, storage, and delivery from the plant to the customer, the plant, & 3PLs.
    • Work closely with production and warehouse to ensure product availability for shipment, aiding in achieving service and sales targets.
    • Manage freight costs by evaluating plant transportation operations for improvement.

    Accountable For:

    • Creating a positive work environment and promoting a culture of safety, constant compliance, continuous improvement, and operational excellence.
    • Daily order tendering, updating, and monitoring in SAP and TMX
    • Regular collaboration and communication with senior management on logistics, disruptions, market forecasts, trends, and potential issues.
    • Railcar waybilling, tracking, and monitoring, including inbound and outbound.
    • Matching inventory produced to transportation and storage needs with 3PL providers.
    • Monitoring TMS and Live Load Tracking system and processes, requests, & problem resolution.
    • Partnering with Quality Systems Manager to develop SQF standards for transportation and 3PL providers.
    • Staying ahead of events by monitoring and communicating trends, disruptions, and seasonal information that may impact transportation and delivery efforts.
    • Ensuring product is moved and stored in high-quality conditions, reaching customers in satisfactory condition.
    • Conducting root cause analysis for transportation complaints, identifying the source of disruption, and taking corrective action.
    • Providing transportation and logistics analysis and support for new business development projects; provide best practices suggestions concerning transportation
    • Analyzing daily, weekly, and monthly data to improve processes and minimize costs.
    • Working with customer service on order changes to ensure customers orders are received as requested.
    • Working with Territory Managers providing updates on loads.

    Supervisory Responsibilities:

    • None

    Education, Experience, and Certifications:

    • At least 5 years of in inventory, transportation, delivery, and distribution.
    • Proficient knowledge of railroad operations, rules, and regulations.
    • Ability to work in a high-demand, fast-paced environment.
    • Ability to make sound decisions under pressure.
    • Excellent communication skills - written and verbal.
    • Proficient in SAP.
    • Proficient in Adobe Pro.
    • Proficient in Microsoft Office.
    • Proficient in MS Dynamics.
    • Proficient in Transportation Management Systems operations.
    • Working knowledge of OSHA and DOT guidelines.

    Plus/Preferred

    • Associates/Bachelor's degree in business, transportation/supply chain.
    • Packaging plant experience is highly preferred.
    • Accredited certification in logistics, transportation, or supply chain accounting.
    • Advanced knowledge of SQF FDA/FMA, NSF, DOT, MSHA and OSHA regulatory guidelines.
