Description

Our client, a distribution and logistics company, is hiring a Logistics Coordinator to manage day-to-day shipping operations out of their Philadelphia facility. This role is responsible for coordinating inbound and outbound freight, maintaining relationships with carriers, and ensuring on-time delivery across the client's regional distribution network.

The ideal candidate has hands-on experience with freight scheduling, warehouse management systems, and carrier negotiations. This is an on-site position that requires close coordination with warehouse staff, dispatchers, and customer service teams to resolve shipping issues quickly and keep operations running smoothly.

Responsibilities

  • Coordinate inbound and outbound freight shipments with carriers
  • Track shipments and resolve delivery delays or discrepancies
  • Maintain accurate records in the warehouse management system
  • Negotiate rates and schedules with third-party carriers
  • Communicate with customer service teams regarding order status
  • Prepare shipping documentation and ensure compliance with regulations
  • Monitor inventory levels to support shipping schedules
  • Assist in developing process improvements for logistics operations

Requirements

  • 2 years of experience in logistics or supply chain coordination
  • Familiarity with warehouse management or transportation management systems
  • Strong organizational and multitasking skills
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced distribution environment
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Excel and shipping documentation
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • High school diploma required, associate degree in logistics or related field preferred
  • Ability to problem-solve under time pressure
