Position Overview

Kinetic Personnel Group is partnering with a growing organization in Irvine seeking an experienced Logistics Coordinator to manage daily transportation operations, carrier relationships, and freight execution.

The ideal candidate has hands-on experience sourcing carriers, negotiating competitive freight rates, coordinating shipments, and resolving transportation challenges in a fast-paced environment.

Key Responsibilities

• Source and secure carrier capacity, obtain competitive freight quotes, and negotiate transportation rates.

• Coordinate full truckload (FTL), refrigerated, and other freight shipments from pickup through delivery.

• Schedule pickups and deliveries, monitor shipments, and communicate updates with carriers and internal teams.

• Troubleshoot delays, missed appointments, carrier cancellations, and other transportation issues.

• Maintain accurate shipment records, rate confirmations, bills of lading (BOLs), and proofs of delivery (PODs).

• Utilize transportation management systems (TMS) and Excel to track shipments and maintain operational accuracy.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of experience in freight brokerage, transportation operations, logistics coordination, dispatch, or related fields.

• Hands-on experience sourcing carriers and negotiating freight rates is required.

• Experience coordinating full truckload (FTL) shipments; refrigerated/temperature-controlled freight experience strongly preferred.

• Familiarity with load boards, carrier networks, and transportation management systems.

• Strong communication, organizational, and problem-solving skills.

• Ability to manage multiple shipments, changing priorities, and time-sensitive deadlines.

• Experience in food distribution, freight brokerage, or third-party logistics (3PL) is a plus.
