Logistics Coordinator

The Logistics Coordinator is responsible for forecasting and efficient dispatching of fuel delivery to residential and commercial customers. This involves monitoring and forecasting the delivery frequency to provide 100% fuel availability, while maintaining a delivery efficiency of 60% of the tank capacity. Creating daily driver schedules and routes to optimize the truck routing.

What you'll do:

• Establish delivery forecasting and delivery frequency to maintain 100% fuel availability to residential and commercial delivered fuels customers. Automatic degree day, period accounts, days between deliveries or will call.
• Establish delivery frequencies to create efficient drops, 60% of tank capacity
• Review inefficient deliveries, making corrections to customer's accounts forecast to improve efficiency
• Manage and maintain service center delivery zones to support route efficiency
• Create service center daily driver delivery schedules and routes
• Optimize delivery routes and driver efficiency by clustering deliveries
• Manage driver schedules to maintain compliance with DOT hours of service
• Communication with drivers on routing and delivery instructions
• Review any deliveries that would indicate a customer run out
• Perform additional duties as needed

Additional Notes

• Hours of operation: Department is staffed in shifts, M-F, 7:00am - 6:00pm (EST)
• Work shifts can vary during winter months M-Sat 7:00am - 8:00pm to meet increased customer activities and needs.

What you bring:

• Associate degree or equivalent experience / education
• 3 - 5 years of experience in dispatch, logistics, or route planning preferred
• Strong analytical skills to support forecasting fuel needs, delivery scheduling, route optimization
• Knowledge of DOT hours of service regulations
• Ability to assign work and communicate effectively with driver team
• Work in a fast-paced customer service organization, meet deadlines, constructively resolve issues
• Highly proficient knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite with strong Excel and database skills

SKILLS: Excellent written and verbal communication skills, strong leadership skills, team player, quality and service focus, problem solving and time management skills, understanding of software systems and logistics principles, and the ability to work effectively across organizational lines to achieve results.

Pay Transparency:

The hourly rate for this position is $24 - $28 per hour.

This role will be eligible for overtime pay once scheduled work week hours are met.
