Harvard Resource Solutions/Venteon is seeking a Logistics Coordinator for our manufacturing client in Dundee on a direct hire basis.

Hours; 6:00am - 3:00pm or 7:00am - 4:00pm
Position Summary
The Shipping & Receiving Coordinator is responsible for supporting daily logistics operations by coordinating inbound and outbound shipments, maintaining inventory records, scheduling freight, monitoring plant inventory, and ensuring accurate shipping documentation. This role requires excellent organizational skills, attention to detail, and the ability to thrive in a fast-paced manufacturing environment while providing exceptional customer service to internal teams, carriers, and suppliers.
Essential Duties & Responsibilities
Verify daily drop lot information and accurately save and archive drop lot data.
Update the daily inventory spreadsheet each morning to reflect materials on hand throughout the plant.
Perform daily inventory logging for Buildings 1, 2, and 3, including dock inventory.
Record daily silo weight measurements for all plant silos.
Professionally answer, assist, and route incoming logistics calls from internal and external customers.
Respond promptly and professionally to logistics-related emails.
Schedule, coordinate, and monitor all inbound and outbound shipments.
Schedule and reschedule loads as needed.
Communicate early or late arrivals to warehouse leads.
Assist with checking in call drivers as needed.
Generate and print inbound/outbound logs and IMIC documentation for Buildings 1 and 2.
Match next-day bulk loads with SAP release numbers.
Print Bills of Lading (BOLs) for inbound and outbound shipments as required.
Review SAP daily for upcoming outbound shipment requirements.
Notify the Sales Department and Warehouse Manager of any discrepancies or inconsistencies.
Obtain monthly freight rates from transportation brokers.
Update the Master Freight Rate spreadsheet.
Maintain notes regarding broker performance, lane issues, and service quality.
Complete monthly drop lot inventory counts.
Verify counts with the Warehouse or Logistics Manager.
Ensure inventory accuracy to support uninterrupted plant production.
Maintain accurate shipping and inventory documentation.
Support continuous improvement initiatives within the logistics department.
Perform other duties as assigned by management.
Qualifications
High School Diploma or General Education Degree (GED).
Excellent verbal, written, organizational, and interpersonal communication skills.
Strong attention to detail with a high level of accuracy.
Ability to prioritize multiple tasks in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.
Team-oriented, self-motivated, dependable, and flexible.
Basic computer proficiency; experience with Microsoft Office applications.
Experience using SAP or a similar ERP system is preferred.
Preferred Skills
Experience in shipping, receiving, logistics, warehouse coordination, or manufacturing.
Knowledge of freight scheduling, Bills of Lading (BOLs), and shipping documentation.
Strong problem-solving and communication skills.
Ability to work effectively with warehouse personnel, carriers, brokers, and internal departments.
Physical Requirements
Ability to lift and/or move up to 50 pounds.
Constant lifting and moving of up to 15 pounds.
Frequent walking throughout the manufacturing facility during inventory counts.
Ability to reach overhead, bend, stoop, climb ladders, and perform physical tasks as needed.
Ability to visually inspect products and identify small defects.
