At RK Industries, our Logistics Coordinators play an important role in keeping materials, orders, and information moving efficiently through our warehouse and supply chain operations. You'll coordinate incoming materials, work closely with Purchasing and suppliers, maintain accurate work-order statuses, and help Operations get the materials they need when they need them.

This is a detail-oriented role for someone who enjoys staying organized, solving problems, and working across teams. Your accuracy and follow-through will directly support shop operations and active project needs.

What You'll Do

  • Receive and verify incoming materials by comparing supplier shipments, paperwork, quantities, and purchase orders.
  • Prepare and verify bills of lading, packing lists, shipping labels, and other required documentation.
  • Coordinate with Purchasing and suppliers to research and resolve delivery discrepancies.
  • Track and communicate back orders, shortages, overages, damaged materials, and other receiving exceptions.
  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date order and work-order status information for Operations.
  • Communicate updated ship dates and back-order information to internal teams and vendors.
  • Prioritize and expedite materials needed for active shop work orders, field requests, and critical project needs.
  • Coordinate supplier returns, replacement materials, return material authorizations, and freight claims when needed.
  • Reconcile open purchase orders, unmatched receipts, aged backorders, and unresolved receiving discrepancies.
  • Maintain complete and timely transactions in RK Connect, including receipt dates, quantities, notes, status changes, and supporting documentation.
  • Participate in cycle counts, inventory audits, and investigations of inventory discrepancies.
  • Compile and report operational data and trends to help identify opportunities for improvement.
  • Develop and support solutions that improve logistics, receiving, inventory, and work-order processes.
  • Follow all warehouse safety requirements, including required PPE and material-handling procedures.

What You Bring

  • High school diploma or GED required; associate degree in Supply Chain, Business, Logistics, or a related field is a plus.
  • 1-2 years of experience in logistics, receiving, warehouse operations, purchasing support, inventory control, or a related environment preferred.
  • Strong data-entry skills with excellent accuracy and attention to detail.
  • Basic proficiency with Microsoft Office, including Excel, Outlook, and Word.
  • Ability to learn ERP and inventory management systems; Viewpoint experience is a plus.
  • Strong organizational, time-management, and multitasking skills.
  • Clear and effective verbal and written communication skills..
  • Strong problem-solving skills with the ability to identify discrepancies, research issues, and follow through until they are resolved, consistent, and proactive approach to completing work and meeting deadlines.
